Makeup Artist Aisha Phillip's focused drive, passion for beauty, business background, and tireless work ethic make her an artist to watch as a rising young talent in the beauty industry.
Aisha's fascination with beauty first started as an adolescent. Originally from Toronto, Canada, her obsession to recreate the often red and brightly colored lips she saw her Caribbean mother wear effortlessly almost everyday. That would begin a relationship with beauty that in college would have her known as the resident makeup artist and dorm room beautician. Using her fellow friends and sorority sisters on the campus of Howard University as her muses, she was known amongst her friends as a makeup junkie and was often seen pushing the boundaries of conventional beauty through her use of bold and bright colors.
Upon graduation, Aisha would begin a career in corporate America, working first in the non-profit sector and then for large multi-national corporations around the world in roles of increasing responsibility in supply chain management. All along she never lost her zest and love for makeup artistry and during an expatriate assignment in the United Kingdom, was so inspired by the eclectic and fashionable culture around her, decided to pick up her brushes and start to pursue her passion once again. A double alumnae of Howard University, Aisha holds both a Bachelor of Business degree in International Business and a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. An avid global traveler, she has enjoyed travel around the world and the diversity that cultures bring to the definition of beauty throughout.
An up an coming artist, Aisha's work has appeared on brides, for local hair salons, in editorial print and fashion shows, and on television networks MTV and VH1. She has worked with notable clients and is committed to empowering the every day woman to love the beauty that begins within. It is her belief that makeup only enhances the natural beauty that everyone is born with, and serves to enhance what is a reflection of both the soul and spirit.
